I have been a teacher at FDC Preschool for 23 years, also serving as Director of the preschool the past 14 years. Along with having my Nursery/Kindergarten certificate, I also have a BS in Health & Phys. Ed. and a MS in Elementary Education. By far, my most enjoyable and creative years of teaching have been with preschool children! My husband and I have five children ages 21-32 years old, two Labrador retrievers named Molly & Pearl, a cat named Patrick, and a lizard named Gary! I have lived in Marshall Township for over 50 years and feel blessed to have a job working with such great families and their children.
I feel so blessed to be part of the FDC family for the last 22 years. I’m the Head Teacher for the 4’s program and have also enjoyed many years teaching the 3’s and Enrichment. I have a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education and began my teaching career in Columbus, Ohio where I taught both fourth and fifth grade. After relocating back to my hometown of Cranberry Township and being a stay at home mom to our four children, I worked in the kindergarten program at St. Alphonsus and was then asked to teach at FDC. I absolutely love my job and feel so honored to be part of our student’s early childhood years. My husband and I have four grown married children and four grand babies under the age of 3. In my free time, I ride horses, play pickleball, root for PSU football and love to spend time with our growing family.
This is my second year teaching at FDC, but I have always had a heart for “little ones”. I have taught in the early childhood field for a good part of the last 27 years! Most recently, I worked at Ingomar Child Development Center and Preschool. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in education from Geneva College. My husband John and I live in Ohio Twp and have three “grown” children (all in their 20’s); Kirsten, Alaina, and Ben. We also have 2 rescue dogs- Copper and Ziggy. I love art, music, reading, riding my bike, and traveling : ) I am thrilled to be part of the wonderful team at FDC and look forward to a fun-filled and fantastic year with the 4’s classes!
I began working as an aide at FDC after my son completed three years there in 2013. I started in the PreK class and now am lucky to help out with the 3’s, 4’s and PreK. I have lived in Marshall Township for 14 years with my husband, my son, my daughter and our Whoodle, Winston. My favorite thing to do is watch my kids play the sports they love. I am blessed to be able to work with such wonderful teachers, families and their lovely kids at FDC.
This is my first year teaching at FDC and I am very excited to begin this new chapter in my career. I have been in the Special Education field for 18 years as a teacher and a coordinator. I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and Special Education and have taught various grades throughout my career. I am extremely fortunate to join FDC as a teacher for the 3s and the 4s. My youngest son, Hayden, will join the 4s class this school year. We are excited to start this adventure together! Ava, my oldest, will start Marshall Middle School this year, while my other son, Bennett, will start 4th grade at Marshall Elementary. On the weekends, you can find my husband Jason and I coaching/ cheering on the NA Tiger Pride Football Team, Cheer Team, and BMP baseball teams! I look forward to being a part of the FDC community and a wonderful year with the 3s and the 4s.
This is my first year at FDC teaching the 3-year-old class but I have been working with children for 25 years. I have a degree in Early Childhood Education and have worked in daycare and preschool with 3- and 4-year-olds. I also am currently working at a creative art studio for children in Treesdale. My greatest and most cherished job has been as a wife to my husband and a stay-at-home mom to my daughters. My husband is Terry and my girls are Lily (16), Laney (14), and Callie (11). Being able to be home and raise my girls for so many years has been such a privilege. Some of my favorite things are reading, walking, watching my girls play sports and going to Bible study. My family and my relationship with Jesus are the most important things in my life. Watching new and exciting things through a child's eyes brings so much joy to my heart. I feel so thankful and blessed for the opportunity to do what I love at FDC.
