Developmentally Appropriate Curriculum

The children learn letter and number recognition, develop writing skills, teach patterns and sorting, and so much more.  An appreciation for science and nature is taught through exploration outdoors, cooking and fun experiments.  

Teachers discuss the daily weather, teach the days and months, and develop literacy through stories, poetry, and drama as well as good listening and speaking skills.  

The children express their creative side daily through painting, drawing, cutting, using glue, sculpting clay, and creating theme related crafts.  

A focus on gross motor skills helps the child's large muscles through activities that include movement to music, parachute, balancing and if possible going out doors to our play area.  We also focus on fine motor skills through blocks, puzzles, scissors, and printing practice.

Snack time provides the opportunity to teach different foods with a rotating theme of Crunchy, Fruity, Veggie, Salty, and Sweet.
