I have been a teacher at FDC Preschool for 18 years, also serving as Director of the preschool the past 10 years. Along with having my Nursery/Kindergarten certificate, I also have a BS in Health & Phys. Ed. and a MS in Elementary Education. By far, my most enjoyable and creative years of teaching have been with preschool children! My husband and I have five children ages 16-26 years old, two labrador retrievers named Sandy & Molly, a cat named Patrick, & a lizard named Gary. I have lived in Marshall Township for 47 years and feel blessed to have a job working with such great families and their children.
I began teaching at FDC in 2006. I have taught both the 4's and 3's programs and now also teach Enrichment classes. I live in Economy borough with my husband and three children. I have a daughter that attends the University of Nebraska, one that attends Penn State University, and a son that will be a senior in high school next year. I also have two goldendoodles named Stella & Masie. Our family enjoys traveling, camping and biking. In my free time I like to scrapbook and bake. I have a degree in Elementary Education and over 20 years experience in early childhood education.
I thoroughly enjoy teaching at FDC. I am amazed to see how much children learn during the preschool years and am happy to be part of the process. I can truly say that I have one of the best jobs out there.
I have been part of the FDC family for the past 15 years teaching in the three and four year old programs. I hold a degree in Elementary Education and previously taught both fourth and fifth grade in Columbus, Ohio. After relocating back to my hometown, Cranberry Township, I was asked to aide in the Kindergarten program at St. Alphonsus. There, I spent many years volunteering in a variety of areas. I was hired in 2003 to start up a preschool program at A Kid’s Place and shortly after was offered a job at FDC and just couldn’t turn down such a wonderful opportunity! I absolutely love working at the Family Development Center! Each day is a new adventure and real joy helping to facilitate your children’s growth and development. I also currently teach Children’s Liturgy and CVOL at St. Ferdinands church.
I reside in Cranberry Township with my husband Andy, and our children, Drew, Haley, Madison, Ian and our dog, Sadie.
